What more could a Lady want on an autumnal Friday evening than a glass of fizz surrounded by the splendour of the Chatsworth Estate and oodles of jewels? This evening the Ladies Take On ‘CW Sellors Christmas Wishes VIP Preview’ at Chatsworth.
Greeted by Father Christmas as we walked into the Nutcracker themed sparkling wonderland we immediately started star spotting; Dame Esther Rantzen and Olympic Silver medalist Bryony Page – two amazing women! Dame Esther was attending to promote a range of jewellery designed by Rebecca Sellors to raise funds for The NSPCC.
The event showcases an amazing array of jewellery; from the fabulous Faberge to classic Clogau, elegant Mikimoto pearls to one of my favourites; contemporary Shaun Leane designs plus so many more! CW Sellors are renowned for their huge variety of wonderful watches and tonight was no exception. Lady Sky’s particular favourites were the REC watches; re-cycling with a difference these watches are made from classic cars and for petrol-head, Lady Sky, there were plenty of classic cars to admire!
Wondering around we spotted a chap making a tiara. It was fascinating to watch as he carefully installing some of the 2000 plus stones into the metal work, just a glimmer into the creativity of jewellery design and making.
Of course the evening wouldn’t be complete without ballerinas. We were all entertained as the dancers performed stunning pieces from the Nutcracker, as that was the theme for this year and orchestrated to complete perfection.
Taking a little time out from shopping, we had a go on the Candy Cane Gift Tree. You purchase a cane which has a little red envelope attached which may or may not contain a treat and if you really needed an excuse to have several goes; money raised goes to the Air Ambulance appeal.
CW Sellors Christmas Wishes is open to the public on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November 2016 in a marque on the grounds of Chatsworth House.Find out more HERE
