The great hall and much of the old house was demolished in 1830. However, in 1845 old Throwley Hall was still noted as being “a very ancient house of decent gentlemen of goodly living, equalling the best sort of gentlemen in the Shire”. To learn more about Throwley Hall visit here.
As for the ladies, we enjoyed a frolick in some perfect weather and amidst a rather romantic ruin. We couldn’t resist a photo shoot at Throwley Hall as the sunlight perfectly lit us, the location beckoned for use and we were all in fine spirits.
Thank goodness we took our visual representations of a book for Lady Wordsmith, a map and globe for Lady Sky, flowers for Lady Tigerlilly, a guitar for Lady Metal and a smile for Lady Convivial on our ramblings. Yes, how very convenient indeed….
Definitely this last photo is our album cover shot. LOL!
Thank you for visiting the Ladies today. We wish you a most convivial day, from the shire.
