Whilst online communication is seen as essential in today’s world, here’s an example of a simpler time. This stunning Victorian Post Box in Buxton has been safely accepting people’s letters and postcards since 1866. The octagonal design by Penfold is rather unusual now and has helped afford the post pox with a Grade II listed status. The VR embellishment on the front stands for Victoria Regina, reigning monarch at the time of instillation.
